Safari Booking Procedure for Kanha National Park

There are a few things that need to be made clear to be able to do Kanha National Park:

Safari Booking:

The official method of booking is by finding the available dates in the calendar on the website and booking it immediately. Or else, you can also give us a call and our executive will be happy to help with the Kanha safari booking. Pre-booking is a requirement to be followed, especially in peak seasons, to ensure that the safari you would like to book is reserved for you.

Safari Timings:

The visiting time for safaris differs in summer and winter, and quite often it is also controlled by the park management. Moreover, the park is not accessible on the festive occasions of Holi and Diwali for safaris.

Crucial Information for Online Safari Booking in Kanha National Park

Be aware that reservations are made on a ‘First-come, first-serve basis’ principle, and during the safari, there could be unplanned changes that will not be predictable. Pre-booking is the most crucial step to save you from booking shortages. Remember all the information and take care of the following tips to get a smooth process:

  • Required Documents: Bring a government-issued ID for each visitor specifying the name, age, nationality, and gender (e.g., Aadhar card, voter ID, PAN card, driving license, passport).
  • Online Booking Permit: Includes charges for the permit, vehicle, and guide. No additional payment is required before entering the gate.
  • Entry Pass Validity: The pass is individual-specific, valid only for the date and time specified, and is non-transferable.
  • A Visit To Doc: You don't have to visit a doctor (for example, a pediatrician, ENT specialist, etc.) or provide prescriptions to support your health condition.
  • Online Booking Permit: The online booking permit costs the sum for the permit, the vehicle, and the guide. You don't need to pay anything more to go through the gate.
  • Booking in Advance: We recommend booking your safari package 120 days in advance. There are high chances of not finding any booking last minute because there are a limited number of vehicles allowed in the park at the time.
  • Waiting List: The newly added arrangement of a waiting list does not guarantee the permit unless the waiting list is cleared. The appointment is automatically canceled if the waiting list remains uncleared by your planned date of visit and the price will be refunded.

Additional Tips for a Successful Safari Experience

Dress Appropriately:

Wear comfortable and naturally-colored clothes as they can be used in various weather conditions. Avoid wearing a colored outfit that will scare the animals as it comes with a signal of danger.

Carry Essentials:

Bring all the necessary things with you like binoculars, a camera with a zoom lens, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a water bottle. Ensure that your camera is not causing a shutter sound.

Follow Park Rules:

Always follow the rules and guidelines set by the park or the wildlife guide. This ensures a safe encounter with the wildlife.

Health and Safety:

In case you suffer from any health issues, tell the officials in the park beforehand. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Respect Wildlife:

Keep a safe distance from the animals and try to avoid making loud noises. Observe and pay heed to the directions from your guide and then you can take as many pictures as you like.
